Our latest Value in Practice (VIP) award winners have been announced and we'll be revealing who they are as they receive their awards.
First up is Paul Maguire, who recently retired from his role as Customer Services Clerk and who is now a VIP award winner under the value: We are commercially focused.
Paul noticed over 30 online re-delivery requests for the same address but with different names. Becoming suspicious, he investigated further by contacting the Delivery Services Unit where mail for that address is delivered from.
His suspicions were confirmed when he was informed that the names on the requests did not match that of the address provided. All the requests were in fact fraudulent.
VIP winner Paul Maguire receives his VIP pin from Garrett Bridgeman, Managing Director - An Post Commerce alongside nominator Wayne Smith.
Paul was nominated by his colleague Wayne Smith who said:
“Thanks to Paul’s quick thinking and actions, he was able to prevent the items from being fraudulently delivered. This not only saved An Post from potential revenue loss but also protected An Post’s reputation with one of our leading customers."
