When taking over the management of the DeliveryBox product, Philip introduced significant improvements over a short period of time and turned the product into a profitable revenue stream for An Post.

An Post’s DeliveryBox offers a secure, discreet and stylish wall-mounted delivery box which holds letters and parcels in a locked weather-resistant box until retrieved. Only the Postperson and the customer hold a key.

Philip reviewed the existing service and following a detailed analysis of the process from order placement to dispatch, he made a number of improvements such as:

  • the number of process steps have reduced

  • printing and supplier costs have come down

  • the use of plastic pouches has been eliminated

  • the order processing time has lessened resulting in fewer customer queries

  • a paperless activation trial has launched in four DSUs.
